â ď¸Â The Challenge
The goal for this project was to provide a national non-profit with:
- An assessment of their current state Human Resources activities
- Recommendations for future state organizational structure, roles, practices, and culture
đ ď¸Â DelveHRâs Approach
Audited current HR practices, policies, and activities
- â Reviewed current documentation related to all HR practices such as recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, performance management, training and development, handbook (policies and practices), values/culture, employee relations, and employee engagement.
- â Partnered with the HR team to understand their processes, their interactions with stakeholders in/outside the organization, and gather input on what they would recommend for future changes.
- â Consulted executive leadership about positioning the HR function as a strategic asset to the organization and provided recommendations and next steps to achieve the future state of HR.
- â Interviewed seven senior leaders on the areas of opportunity for HR to provide strategic support: Achieving their organizational goals; enhancing employee engagement and development; and fostering a productive workplace and culture. Assessed the barriers to achieving these objectives.
- â Â Prepared a report that included HR audit results, summary of the interview (themes with sample verbatim comments), desired future state of HR, and specific recommendations to close gaps or introduce new ways of operating.

đ Key OutcomesÂ
- This project-based engagement resulted in:
- Restructuring of the HR and administrative teams
- Separation from one member of HR team
- Initiation of a search for a new senior leader
- Introduction of new payroll-processing to increase efficiency
- Creation of a scalable recruiting process that decreased reliance on external search firms and improved hiring
