Katy Breuer is an Executive Coach with a passion for inspiring people to maximize their full potential, both professionally and personally, using their natural strengths. Katy’s coaching focuses on helping high-potential individuals confidently navigate career transitions – whether taking on a new leadership role within their organization, managing through organizational change, or exploring a new industry.
Katy has worked with clients in many industries across the spectrum of corporate, nonprofit and government organizations. She is known for her insightfulness, compassion and ability to reframe problems in ways that allow her clients to identify innovative solutions. With more than 30 years of experience in corporate leadership, managing teams, developing leaders and directing large global programs at Marriott International, she has extensive leadership experience in project management, change management, brand management and corporate finance.
In addition to being an Executive Coach, she serves as the Program Director of four Councils for The Conference Board who focus on Coaching, Project Management, Advancing Women and IT Audit. The Councils brings together senior executives with subject-matter expertise from the world’s leading companies and organizations. In her non-profit work, Katy serves as the co-chair of The Women’s Center annual Leadership Conference, the Commodore of the Mathews Yacht Club and the President of the Coves at Wilton Creek Owners Association.
Katy is a certified coach with the International Coaching Federation, holds a Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University, has an MBA in Finance from George Washington University and a BA in Economics from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She is a PCC certified coach, certified Project Manager, Program Manager, Portfolio Manager and Change Manager. She lives in Hartfield, VA with her husband Fernando, their two black labs and three cats.
