Tim is a passionately curious coach and consultant whose mission is to help leaders gain focus on priorities, improve communication and accountability across teams, and unlock potential by exploring the dynamics that impact organizational performance.
With long experience in strategy, organization effectiveness and change execution, Tim applies a pragmatic approach that starts with deep understanding of the challenge at hand and works towards practical solutions that align with the client’s culture and purpose. He has deep experience with technology, R&D and financial teams, but also enjoys working with non-profit, educational and creative organizations.
Tim began his career in management consulting, quickly developing a reputation as a trusted partner for leaders working to execute strategy, engage stakeholders and navigate change. After nearly 20 years leading client delivery and market development in the research and development community, Tim transitioned to the global asset management industry where he worked with leaders in North America, Europe and Asia. He continued to consult on organization development, team effectiveness and change while serving as a coach and advisor to leaders worldwide.
In 2020, Tim launched Wrench & Socket Organizational Effectiveness and Strategy. Through this independent consultancy, he supports a wide range of clients who want to get better results through clear goals, organizational alignment and shared purpose. He offers individual and group coaching to further expand capacity and capability and brings a coaching mindset to the design and facilitation of tailored workshops and leadership retreats. Tim is frequently retained to help build strategies, establish durable structures and processes, and advise on talent, change and team effectiveness matters.
Tim is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland where he majored in journalism and minored in sociology. He is a certified executive coach through the ICF-approved MMS Worldwide program. Tim holds change management certifications from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, LaMarsh Global, and ProSci. He completed the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business Strategic Organization Design Workshop and is a certified practitioner of the Drexler-Sibbet Team Performance Model, the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument, the Hogan Assessment, the Birkman Method, and the Denison Culture Survey.
